I loved this enemies-to-lovers and second-chance romance! Mackenzie and Sam met when their management teams had their two bands travel and perform together. They had very different musical styles and they were encouraged to have a intense rivalry on stage. Fast forward, and both their bands have disbanded. Sam is enjoying fatherhood and quiet solo evening performances. Mackenzie is dealing with her new sound after having thyroid surgery. She has secretly been recording under a pseudonym while coming to terms with her new singing voice and trying to exorcise the heartbreak and traumas from past boyfriends from her life. As they enter each other’s orbit again, they get a second chance at a romantic relationship and a musical partnership. I really liked this book and loved the personal growth of the characters. As they worked on a comeback album together, I loved their personal journey. This book was well written, engaging, and entertaining.
