Review of In Her Spotlight

Tess is a successful Hollywood star best known for her superhero movies. She wants to change her image and pursue her love of the theatre, and is about to begin a play. After a director change right before rehearsals start, it turns out her ex, Rebecca, will be the director. Rebecca is a well-known stage director and, unbeknownst to anyone else, was Tess’s first and only love. Tess has still never come out with the worry about career and personal ramifications. Will Tess be able to overcome these fears and be able to fully be who she is and have a second chance with Rebecca? This was a well-written book with a lot of interesting information about movie and stage productions as well as Hollywood in general. Tess was an interesting character, and the supporting characters brought a lot to the book. I definitely enjoyed this book and found the writing engaging. This is the 4th book in a series and can be read as a standalone.
