Review of The Hitchhikers

Well, this was a suspenseful wild ride! Alice and Tom are doing a road trip in their new RV and befriend a couple of young hitchhikers in British Columbia. They travel peacefully for the first few days until Alice discovers their companions are wanted for murder, and then the mayhem begins. Simon and Jenny take them as hostages and make Alice drive the RV wherever they want to go since Tom is too injured following a fight with Simon. This was a fun story for me because I have travelled the exact same roads as their journey takes them, and am familiar with some of the landmarks, and even though this book was set in 1976, there are still some of the same touristy stops now. This plot is heavy on the suspense, and the twists and turns keep you hooked throughout the story. This is a fast-paced book with a lot of action and intrigue, and I loved it!!
