Review of The Maid's Secret

This book continues the Molly the Maid series but can be read as a standalone. Molly is planning her wedding to Juan Manuel and enjoying her job as Head Maid and Special Events Manager at the hotel. As an important item of Molly’s is discovered to be worth millions of dollars,, her life as she knows it completely changes. Molly’s mother makes an unexpected appearance as the media attention around her sudden impending wealth explodes. The best part of the story for me is when Molly reads her beloved Gran’s diary and we find out her backstory. Gran’s life as written in her diary was so interesting and engaging and because of the diary, we now know how Molly’s life was shaped. I enjoyed this book, and I was completely engrossed in learning more about Gran. There is, of course, a big mystery to solve in this book as well. I liked the back and forth of the book between Gran’s life and Molly’s present day. Another entertaining read from this author and a great conclusion to the series.
