Review of Brady vs. Belichick: The Dynasty Debate
This is a very comprehensive book on Tom Brady and Bill Belichick as to who was more pivotal in their overall success in the NFL. NFL and even non-football fans know of the amazing accomplishments Brady and Belichick had with the New England Patriots. Six Super Bowls is quite a feat! There are numerous interviews and quotes from football insiders in the book regarding who was more valuable to their success - the coach or the quarterback. This book doesn’t definitively answer

Review of The Christmas Cure
This is a different genre for this author, aka Karma Brown, and I am here for it. What a cute plot with entertaining characters and a perfect town that celebrates all things Christmas. Oh, and an adorable pet pig! Libby is back in her hometown for a short visit when she falls and suffers a head injury, resulting in time reversing to exactly one year prior. As she confronts her past and present, she begins to see that what she thought was important is maybe not how she feels n

Review of The Perfect Murder
Wow. This was a twisty and suspenseful story! Savi is a newly successful novelist but is struggling with her success. The more pressure placed on her, the more she feels like she is losing herself. And maybe she is! This one definitely had me guessing. A few of the twists I figured out, but not many. The atmospheric writing and fast plot kept my interest throughout. It’s not a long book and I read it in one day. A very enjoyable read!

Review of The Romance Pitch: a spicy workplace romance
I was very entertained by this office romance story. Chloe has a one-night stand at a work conference, only to find out that her one-night stand is now her new work partner. Both Chloe and Alex are shocked to find out that they now work at the same company and that they have been assigned a significant project to work on together. Chloe decides it is best to keep the fact that they have met before a secret. I really enjoyed learning the marketing aspect of their jobs, and it

Review of For the Record
I loved this enemies-to-lovers and second-chance romance! Mackenzie and Sam met when their management teams had their two bands travel and perform together. They had very different musical styles and they were encouraged to have a intense rivalry on stage. Fast forward, and both their bands have disbanded. Sam is enjoying fatherhood and quiet solo evening performances. Mackenzie is dealing with her new sound after having thyroid surgery. She has secretly been recording under

Review of Long Way Down
This was a suspenseful, quick read with a lot of twists and turns. Deni believes her future looks amazing and is excited to marry Cal, the son of wealthy parents. When Cal dies in a plane crash, her hopes die with him. Add to that her best friend has just been murdered. As the local detective on the case uncovers some secrets, the plot becomes even more complex and intriguing. I don’t want to give any more details since it is a thriller! The book is fast-paced and well-writte

Review of Such a Clever Girl
Another interesting and suspenseful book by this author. Initially, I struggled to keep some of the characters straight, but once I got past that, I was completely caught up in the plot. This book involves the disappearance of a family 15 years ago. When an elderly family member dies and his will is about to be read, the missing daughter from the family appears. Where is the rest of the family? This mystery links three women to the disappearances with other shady characters i

Review of If It Makes You Happy
This is an engaging small-town romance set in Vermont in the 90s. The descriptions of the town and the townspeople made me reminiscent of Gilmore Girls. Single father Cliff is amazing, but it took me a bit to warm up to standoffish Michelle. She has come to town to temporarily run her late mother’s B&B, which is next door to Cliff’s house. I loved Cliff’s family and their dynamic and how they slowly chipped away at Michelle’s iciness. The romance between Cliff and Michelle wa

Review of Ink and Ashes
Holland is in British Columbia to investigate the marked increase in the wildfires in the area. She is determined to resurrect her journalism credentials after her career had imploded, and she is hoping this story will accomplish that. The one person she could use on her side is the lieutenant in the fire station in Ember Springs. Unfortunately, Colson initially wants nothing to do with her and her theories. As Holland digs deeper into the cause of the fires the more the tens
