Review of Totally and Completely Fine

I read this author’s book, Funny You Should Ask, last year and this follows that one. Gabe and Chani appear in this one as secondary characters but this book can definitely be considered a standalone book. Gabe’s sister, Lauren, is the main character now and we learn about her life in their small hometown. Gabe is back to put on a play and one of the other actors falls in love with Lauren. She is a widowed single parent and she has a lot on her plate as she develops a strong romantic connection with Ben even though he will be leaving town to continue his burgeoning acting career. Can they find their way forward together? This book is multilayered and has great depth. It is told in dual timelines between now and Lauren’s past life with her amazing husband. I loved the characters and I loved this book. I am looking forward to more from this author.
