Review of Well, Actually

I enjoyed this heartfelt second-chance romance. Eva’s career isn’t going the way she hoped as she is stuck in a job she doesn’t enjoy, interviewing B-list celebrities. Her drunken complaints about a guy she dated in college go viral, and it complicates her life and the person she was trying to shame. Rylie is now a well-known podcaster, and his niche is speaking to men about being more responsible and respectful romantic partners and avoiding toxic masculinity. Rylie convinces Eva to go on dates with him to prove he has changed, and documenting them will also boost their careers. Romance ensues, and their tenuous relationship begins. This book was well written and very relevant at this time. Both characters were interesting and had personal growth. Their banter was entertaining, and it was great to see their authentic selves eventually come through.
