Review of Never Planned on You
I loved this second-chance romance. Ali and Graham meet in London the night before she leaves to go back to the US. On a drunken dare, they get matching tattoos and, after a great evening, go their separate ways. They unexpectedly run into each other again years later, and Ali is excited to be reunited. She thinks maybe Graham is too, until she discovers she is the wedding planner for his wedding. She is, needless to say, disappointed in him for not telling her he was engaged

Review of Memorial Days
Geraldine Brooks has led an exciting and successful life as a journalist and foreign correspondent and was happily raising her children in Martha’s Vineyard with her husband when the unthinkable happened. Her 60-year-old husband collapsed and died while on his book tour. She quickly had to deal with all the details surrounding a sudden death while never taking the time to properly grieve. This book is about her search to find some peace and closure after realizing she needed

Review of What If I Never Get Over You
This book was an emotional roller coaster for the reader and the characters. Ellie meets Ash when she is travelling through Europe, and they immediately have a strong connection. They have to split up due to other commitments, but agree to meet up in Spain. Ellie is late to the meeting, but Ash doesn’t show up, and she is heartbroken. They discover each other again six years later when Ellie begins her dream job working as a gardener at an estate. Unbeknownst to her, Ash’s fa

Review of Well, Actually
I enjoyed this heartfelt second-chance romance. Eva’s career isn’t going the way she hoped as she is stuck in a job she doesn’t enjoy, interviewing B-list celebrities. Her drunken complaints about a guy she dated in college go viral, and it complicates her life and the person she was trying to shame. Rylie is now a well-known podcaster, and his niche is speaking to men about being more responsible and respectful romantic partners and avoiding toxic masculinity. Rylie convince

Review of The Hitchhikers
Well, this was a suspenseful wild ride! Alice and Tom are doing a road trip in their new RV and befriend a couple of young hitchhikers in British Columbia. They travel peacefully for the first few days until Alice discovers their companions are wanted for murder, and then the mayhem begins. Simon and Jenny take them as hostages and make Alice drive the RV wherever they want to go since Tom is too injured following a fight with Simon. This was a fun story for me because I have

Review of An Academic Affair
I enjoyed this entertaining romance story. Sadie and Jonah have been in each other’s orbit for years as they pursued their degrees at various levels in academia. They definitely have not enjoyed a warm relationship since they have constantly competed with one another. Now there is a great teaching opportunity that they both want. Sadie and Jonah each have personal as well as financial reasons why they really need this job. Sadie is chosen, but she feels for Jonah and empathiz

Review of Wreck
This is the follow-up to last year’s book by this author, Sandwich. I actually enjoyed this book more. I liked the characters better this time around, but that may be due to getting to know them better. Rocky’s dad is living with them, and he brought a lot to the story. Overall, it was fun to catch up with these characters and I would love to see what happens with them next.

Review of The Fix
This was definitely an intense and engrossing book. Cami survived a violent home invasion eleven years ago, where her mom and sister were murdered. She has rebuilt her life as best she can, and then she receives a phone call that causes her new fear. She sees a horrifying video where a young boy has been kidnapped and is being held in a barren room in the woods. Could this be the baby she gave up for adoption? The more she watches the boy, the more she knows it is her son. Sh

Review of Not You Again
This was a fun time loop romance! Carly and Adam, and the rest of Julian, California, are caught in a very frustrating time loop! Initially, Carly and Adam can’t stand each other after an unfortunate series of first meetings, but they soon begin to realize that they need to work together to get out of the time loop. As they work together, their feelings toward each other change as they get a better understanding of each other. I was happy to see the personal growth of the two

Review of It's a Love Story
This might be my new favourite Annabel Monaghan book! I loved how the characters were depicted with strong, heartfelt, and real emotions. Both Dan and Jane were engaging characters with amazing chemistry. The writing is great and the plot moved at a good pace. Give this one a try if you’re looking for an interesting romance read.

Review of Funny You Should Ask
I really liked this book! Chani is struggling in her writing career but then gets a chance to interview movie heartthrob Gabe. They both need her article to give them a positive career boost. It is assumed that they had an intimate relationship over the interview weekend. This assumption follows Chani throughout her career. Ten years later she is asked to do a follow up article. What will happen between them? I found this book to be well written and the characters interesting

Review of Totally and Completely Fine
I read this author’s book, Funny You Should Ask, last year and this follows that one. Gabe and Chani appear in this one as secondary characters but this book can definitely be considered a standalone book. Gabe’s sister, Lauren, is the main character now and we learn about her life in their small hometown. Gabe is back to put on a play and one of the other actors falls in love with Lauren. She is a widowed single parent and she has a lot on her plate as she develops a strong
